BUSES - The bus service in Tenerife is generally clean, reliable and inexpensive. Tourists should have no reservations about using the services of TITSA and in fact, there is even a discount card which can be purchased from all stations and terminals of TITSA. The Bono-Bus card costs about Â12 but saves up to 30% of the cost of transport as well as discounts for entry into Tenerife museums. However, you can pay the bus driver but always make sure you have small change.
TAXI - Most taxi drivers are honest and give a good service, but watch out for some of them. They might take advantage of you, especially those that take you from the airport to your destination. Negociate a price BEFORE getting in the taxi.Taxis are recognisable by a green light in the windscreen or on a white roof and an official plate with the letters SP.
Pebble Beach is at the heart of Amarilla Golf and Country Club, a Golf and Water Sports resort along the southern shore of Tenerife, where it is warm in winter and the sun shines most of the year.
It is located just off the main autopista TF1 running around the southern perimeter of the island and is one junction away from Tenerife's main Airport, Reina Sofia, on the way to the holiday towns of Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Americas, which lie about 15 minutes further along the coast by car.
Here the two Golf resorts of Amarilla and Golf del Sur lie side by side, between the autopista TF1 and the sea and just 10 minutes from the Airport. Between them is the new San Miguel Marina.
Taxis at the Airport are plentiful. Tell the driver ÂPebble Beach, Amarilla Golf they will know where it is and it is about Â15- Â20 taxi fare depending on the time of day and how many people are in the taxi. Ask to be dropped at The ARIES BAR.
If you have hired a car from the airport, take the left hand lane coming out of the airport and join the autopista TF1 South in the direction of Los Cristianos. Take the next exit after 4 km at Las Chafiras. You will exit the TF1 on the North side and will cross over the bridge to the South side and continue in the Cristianos direction along the old road which runs alongside the TF1. After 500 metres you will see the sign on the left for Amarilla Golf.
The entrance roadway runs between buildings for a short way and then you will find yourself on the winding Amarilla road through desert terrain for 2km until you arrive at the Golf Club House. The road turns left here onto the new road, when you come to the roundabout take the first right exit. You are now approacing Pebble Beach. Go along this road and take the second turning left, you will come to "Aries Bar" on the right. Stop here!! Walk to the right of the Bar keeping the swimming pool on your left. Turn right and the apartment is the second on the right.
